This half-day seminar gives a thorough and detailed introduction of trade law and WTO.
The programme includes a broad overview of the history of international trade regulation, the tensions affecting the international trading system, the basic principles of international trade law, as well as its main actors and subjects. It offer students an introductory analysis of the interaction between the international trading system and EU trade policies and domestic regulations affecting the internal market.
The seminar also addresses the interface between trade and competition law and the limits of the multilateral trading system in the regulation of markets. A brief overview of evolutions in this regard in bilateral free trade agreements is also provided”.
