The Liege Competition & Innovation Institute (“LCII”) is pleased to invite you to a “morning briefing” on:
“Antitrust v IP 2.0″: SEPs injunction cases, NPEs,
Privateering, etc.
This event will take the form of a roundtable seminar, with leading officials, practitioners and academics as speakers.
Its ambition is to brief participants on recent developments at the intersection of competition enforcement and intellectual property, including the Commission’s decisions in Motorola and Samsung, the pending preliminary reference in Huawei v ZTE, ongoing complaints with DG COMP on patent trolls and other potentially anticompetitive strategies of IP holders and related parties such as privateering, etc.
This morning briefing will be held at the Fondation Universitaire in Brussels on 16 September, from 8.00 am to 10.00 am.
Speakers:
- James Aitken Partner, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, London
- Szilvia Szekely Case Handler, Antitrust: IT, Internet and Consumer electronics, DG Comp
- Miguel Rato Partner, Shearman & Sterling LLP, Brussels
- Patricia Cappuyns Of Counsel, Olswang Belgium LLP and Lecturer in Patent Law, ULG
Please do not hesitate to circulate this conference invitation around!
Looking forward to seeing you there.
