Julien Bois is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of European Legal Studies at Uliège and is a member the research project EUDAIMONIA (National institutional autonomy within the EU legal order: uncovering and addressing its distinctive appearances, origins and impact on Member States’ administrations) financed by the European Research Counsel. He is also a lecturer at SciencesPo Lille where he teaches courses on European integration (« Sociologie de l’intégration européenne » and « Sociologie des métiers de l’Europe »). He obtained a Bachelor of European Law (2013) at the University of Orléans, a Professional Master (2015) in European Governance and a Research Master (2016) in Sociology and Institutions of Politics at University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, and a PhD in political science (2021) from the Hertie School in Berlin. Julien also held advocacy positions at the European Association for the Defence of Human Rights (AEDH) and the European Citizen Action Service (ECAS) in Brussels.
